COURSE Reflective NARRATIVE
I took this class in Fall 2014 with professor Lee A. Ritscher. This course covered MLO 1: Language Proficiency. During this class I was able to critically analyze different controversial affairs for society. Every session we had to read different chapters of three different books; The Argument Culture, You Just Don't Understand and Blink. We also had to write an analytical reflection and also argument it in class in groups.. We also did the same procedure with two movies we watch, Crash and Twuelve angry men. Although at the beginning of the course I felt shy, with the time I became aware that been shy does not solve ones problems in society and that only one person can change things if desire. I liked the class because it helped me be more open to the issues in society, such as politics, immigration and abortion. In a future I want take more classes like this to improve critical thinking, my speaking skills and not be afraid to express my opinion in matters that affect me and society. I want to contribute finding solutions to the social issues that divide us as human beings.
